Psychomotor Therapist
A graduate from Saint Joseph University with a Master’s degree in Psychomotor Therapy, Karen is pursuing her second Master’s in Educational Leadership in Practice from the University of Manchester. Karen enjoys a five-year experience working in the Learning Support Department of an inclusive school in Lebanon, as well as in her own private clinic. She has worked alongside children with learning difficulties, learning disabilities, specific syndromes, dyspraxia, ASD, ADD/ADHD among others.
Karen has accumulated numerous experiences from a variety of institutions such as psychiatric hospitals, schools, nurseries and centers, during which, she worked with adults struggling with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, down syndrome and kids with learning disabilities as well as babies.
Karen’s extensive experience and her knowledge of Arabic, English and French is strongly positioned in Talking Brains to work on the following domains: body schema and body image, muscle tone, motor skills, whether gross or fine motor skills, spatial and temporal domain, lateralization, cognitive functions such as attention, memory, planning, control of impulsivity, mental flexibility and handwriting skills.
