Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injuries happen when a sudden external and physical assault damages the brain. The injuries can range from simple concussion to severe trauma. They may affect brain functions such as speech, language, motor skills, cognitive and emotional abilities.

Consult TBC if the person with post brain-trauma has:

  • Difficulty in channeling emotions or feelings
  • Anxiety
  • Depression or mood disorders
  • Weakness in attention, memory, processing speed, planning and problem-solving
  • Difficulty in following and initiating a verbal or non-verbal conversation

CogMed is a computer-based working memory and attention training program that implements an evidence-based application for children, adolescents and adults. It helps them sustainably improve attention by training their working memory.

This program is available at TBC, among other methods.

At TBC, our Lebanese therapists in Dubai, UAE specialize in speech therapy, along with occupational and psychomotor therapy, offering sessions in Arabic, French, and English to assist patients in overcoming their challenges.
